Areas of Focus
Your body is one connected system. These are the doors Maria most often opens, and most people walk through several of them.
Why these areas belong together
Conventional care tends to divide the body into departments. The gut goes to one specialist, the anxiety to another, the joint pain to a third. That makes sense for acute problems, and it saves lives. But for the long, grinding symptoms that don’t respond well to any one department, the divisions can be part of the problem.
The autonomic nervous system, the digestive tract and the immune system talk to each other constantly. The vagus nerve carries messages in both directions between the brain and the gut. A large share of the immune system sits along the digestive tract. Stress hormones change how the gut moves, how much acid and enzyme it makes, and how well the gut lining holds together. So when one of these systems is under strain for long enough, the others usually feel it too.
That is why Maria rarely works on just one of the areas below. Calming the nervous system makes digestion easier. Better digestion lowers the inflammatory load. A lower inflammatory load makes the nervous system easier to calm. Each one helps the others.
Nervous system regulation
For the tired-but-wired, the chronically anxious, the poor sleepers and anyone whose body seems stuck on high alert. Practical, gentle practices that teach your system how to rest again.
Nervous system regulationGut health and digestion
Bloating, reflux, constipation, loose stools and a gut you can’t predict. Rebuilding digestion from the top down, starting with the state you eat in.
Gut health and digestionInflammation and food sensitivities
A growing list of foods you react to, aches that come and go, puffiness, skin flares and brain fog. Lowering the load so your body can widen back out.
Inflammation and food sensitivitiesStress, trauma and the body
Old stress lives on in physiology. A paced, respectful approach that works alongside therapy and medical care, never in place of them.
Stress, trauma and the bodyTherapeutic diets
Low FODMAP, low histamine, low sulfur, low polyamine, GAPS and ketogenic approaches, used with a clear reason, a time frame and a way back out.
Therapeutic dietsAging well
Energy, strength, sleep and a steady mood through midlife and beyond. The same principles, applied to the long game.
Aging wellPeople who have tried everything, and are ready for something that connects the dots
Maria works with adults of all ages. Many have seen several practitioners before finding her, and many have a stack of test results that didn’t lead anywhere. Some have a diagnosis and want support alongside their medical care. Others have been told everything looks normal, while they know that it doesn’t feel normal.
What they share is a readiness to look at the whole picture, and a wish to be helped by someone who will listen.
